Kakao VX acquired Tranggle🔗 (100M+ downloads, 20-year hiking app). Duotone agency led the UX/UI revamp for the growth plan, acting as an in-house partner for fresh design.
Challenge & solution
The challenge is to Evolve UX/UI without alienating existing users. The solution is a balanced redesign: Innovative features attract new users while preserving core strengths to retain a loyal base.
Which sports should we include to expand our user base while retaining existing hikers?
We aimed to expand our user base (+300% MAU) while retaining hikers. Through surveys and contextual inquiries, we focused on walking and trekking, identifying activity similarities to streamline features and leverage Tranggle's 20-year expertise.
Boosting engagement with route discovery
I contributed to designing the new Explore navigation menu, focusing on Route discovery and edit experience. I created map-based content exploration for journey planning and quick route editing for walking, trekking, and hiking activities
